Privacy Policy

This is the plain-English version, because you deserve to actually understand it. It explains what happens to information when you visit hithkari.com (the “Site”) or contact the independent exit-planning advisory and travel practice of Ravi Yeleswarapu (“I,” “me”). I am one person, not a company with a data department. I do not sell your information to anyone.

Why I watch the traffic at all

I’ll be straight with you about my motive. I run measurement tools on this Site for two reasons: to see who is showing interest so I can tailor and improve the services I offer, and to see what isn’t working — which pages people leave, what they never click, where the Site is failing them. That’s it. I’m not building a profile to sell, and I’m not following you around the rest of the internet.

What runs while you’re on the Site

Four tools are active on these pages. Here is exactly what each one does:

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. It records things like which page you viewed, the general country you’re in, your browser type, and the site that referred you. It cannot see who you are personally.
  • Google Analytics 4 — a more detailed traffic tool from Google. It uses an identifier (and may use cookies) to understand how people move through the Site: which pages, in what order, what they click, and how long they stay. Google processes this data on its own systems under its own terms, and may use it for its own purposes.
  • Apollo website tracker — a business tool that tries to recognize the organization a visit appears to come from (using your IP address and similar signals), and for some U.S. visitors may match that to a business contact. This is how I learn that, say, “someone from a company in my field looked at my services.” It is business-development insight about who is interested — not surveillance of your personal browsing elsewhere.
  • Tally form — the intake form, only if you choose to fill it in. Whatever you type into it goes to me through Tally.

What you actually hand over

  • If you just read: the technical and analytics signals above — pageviews, approximate location, device/browser, referrer, and (via Apollo) a best-guess at your organization. You don’t type anything; this is collected automatically.
  • If you contact me: the intake form or an email gives me what you choose to share — usually your name, email, company, role, the decision you want help with, and anything you attach.
  • If we get on a call: the video software may record it to capture action items and produce a summary that all participants receive.

I don’t knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and I ask that you not send confidential documents until we’ve agreed how to handle them.

If you plan travel with me, those arrangements are handled through Hithkari Travels and its suppliers, under Hithkari’s own privacy practices rather than this Site’s.

Where my control ends — the honest part

This is the part most policies bury, so I’m putting it up front. The analytics tools above are run by Cloudflare, Google, and Apollo — not by me. Once your visit data reaches their systems, it is in their hands, under their privacy policies, and I can no longer control what they do with it or pull it back. I chose these tools and I can switch them off on my Site, but I can’t govern their internal handling, their retention, or any further use they make of the data. If that matters to you, their own policies are the real authority:

How I use what I keep

  • To review your inquiry and decide whether the work is a fit;
  • To respond to you, schedule and deliver engagements, and send the resulting work product;
  • To send invoices and administer payment;
  • To understand who’s interested and to fix what isn’t working on the Site.

AI tools

I use business-grade AI tools to support analysis and document preparation, configured so your information is not used to train third-party models, with identifying details minimized. If an engagement is governed by your confidentiality agreement, those terms control.

How to opt out

You have real options. You can use a browser that blocks trackers, turn on “Do Not Track” or an ad/tracker blocker, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on — any of these will stop most or all of the above from loading. Cloudflare’s tool sets no cookies and doesn’t identify you in the first place. And you can always just read without filling in the form.

Retention

I keep inquiry and engagement records for as long as needed to provide the work, meet legal and accounting obligations, and maintain my own business records, after which they are deleted or anonymized. The analytics providers keep their own data on their own schedules, which I don’t control.

You can ask me what information I hold about you, request a correction, or ask me to delete it, by emailing info@raviyeleswarapu.org. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law.
